We left Nanaimo early to be at the Port Angeles ferry by 9am to clear US customs.
There has been some discussion about how to load onto the ferry, some have said you have to back on but that is not the case. In Victoria you load from the side and drive around to face the stern which opens to exit. In Port Angeles you enter from the stern and exit the side.
There were 3 semi's exiting in Victoria so I knew I should be able to get the trailer on.
Arrived at Port Angeles about 12:30 and stopped at Safeway for groceries and gas.
First part of the drive was fine but soon the rain really started coming down.
It was a long , mostly boring 3 1/2 hr. drive to Pacific Beach, Washington. For most of the way there is no ocean view, just miles of logged over forest.
Arrived at the State Park around 5pm. Levelled the trailer, took Mickey for a run on the beach, then hunkered down for dinner and the night in the wind and rain.
Mickey Looks Upset That It's Rainy.
