Paris, May 20

Well, everyone was so tired after so much walking yesterday that we slept until 10am.
Then it was a matter of  bathroom roulette with 4 of us and one bathroom!
The guys headed off to who knows where , Karen and I found the address of a street full of shops we wanted to see and upon arriving  after a very short ride via Uber were embarrassed to find that it was about a 5 minute walk across the street.
Uber has  a €5 minimum charge so it was a relatively expensive trip!
Uber has been a lifesaver for us, so convenient and relatively cheap. When you have such a short time in the city you don't want to be spending it trying to find bus stops and train stations when you have no idea which to take in the first place.
The street we wanted is the Rue Mouffetard and is a pedestrian only street although motorbikes seem to go anyway.
Lots of cheese ,wine , butcher and fish shops, as well as many sidewalk café's ,which are everywhere.
We bought a 1/2 bottle of wine , a sandwich and some dessert pastries and Ubered off to the Luxembourg Gardens and  Palace for a picnic lunch.
Found a nice spot near the pond and ate our lunch and watched the people.
After lunch we bought a baguette and some stinky cheese for our happy hour.
I felt very Parisian walking home with a baguette sticking out of my shopping bag!
We need to start getting organized for the next leg of our trip tomorrow when we will pick up our rental car to begin our drive to Italy.
Tonight's dinner will probably be a crepe from a place down the street.
Don't know if Stephen and Mark will be back, they are out enjoying their first sunny afternoon in Paris.
Glad they seem to be having fun!
